ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

Kozani is a large city in northern Greece. The capital of Western Macedonia. The area is mainly mountains and plains. The climate here is continental. In summer it is very hot (up to forty degrees), and in winter it is cold, with precipitation. In the winter months, the city is completely covered with white snow. It is very beautiful, there are many picturesque landscapes. The city is surrounded by mountains with low green shrubs.

Kozani is a city of entertainment. Near the city there is a large airport, there are flights of international lines. From here you can fly to almost anywhere in Greece and foreign countries. The main attraction of the city is the University of Western Macedonia located here, where about fifteen thousand students from all over Greece and other foreign countries are educated. The university was founded in 2002. Over the years, he has established himself as a University, worth the trust of his students.

On the territory of the University, in addition to the main buildings of the faculties, there is a gym, a library, a cozy student outdoor restaurant, a dormitory, laboratories, a medical care center and a student support office.
