ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

The Slovak Agricultural University of the city of Nitra, with its main goal, determines the provision of higher education at all stages and forms.
 
The educational process is based on scientific knowledge of one of the priority tasks in the field of agriculture and related fields of knowledge, but also in the wider thematic context of social sciences. Part of the work is the formation and construction of creative and scientific research.
 
Based on the above tasks, the university determines its unique position, national status. Its mission is to provide education, research and advice in order to produce and transfer knowledge for the development of agriculture, food and related industries, rural development and regional development of Slovakia in common with the international community.
 
The university and its faculties provide higher education in accredited academic disciplines and programs at three stages of education: bachelor, specialist and doctor.
 
The university also provides the opportunity for continuing education in the framework of the third generation university program.

Faculty of Economics and Management
 
The Department of Economics and Management was founded in 1959 at the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra.
 
Since then, more than 17,000 students have studied here, including graduate students in doctoral programs. Currently, more than 2700 students are studying at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.
 
According to a general survey conducted by an independent Academic Rating and Rating Agency (ARRA), the Faculty of Economics and Management is the best economic and business faculty in Slovakia. The highest position is the result of FEM's continued dedication to excellence in teaching and research.
 
The mission of the faculty is to provide students with quality education in the fields of economics, business, management, marketing, finance, banking, international trade, policy analysis, as well as in the field of law, computer science and quantitative methods.
